Privacy Policy

Fábula (fabula.bevelui.com) is a web app that turns a script or a YouTube channel's style into a narrated, illustrated story video. It is operated by BevelUI ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

Account information

When you sign in we receive your email address and a sign-in identifier from our log-in provider (Supabase). If you sign in with Google, Google also shares your name and profile picture with Supabase; Fábula itself only stores your email address. If you use a password, it is handled by Supabase and never seen or stored by Fábula.

Your projects

Everything you create or upload: scripts and story text, YouTube links you enter, scene descriptions and prompts, images, narration audio, music, subtitles and finished videos, plus project settings such as language and style.

Your API keys

If you add your own keys for services such as Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI, ElevenLabs, Fish Audio, Google Gemini or fal.ai, we store them encrypted, show only their last characters, and use them only to make the requests you ask for. You can remove a key at any time.

Subscription information

If you buy Fábula Premium, you pay through Polar, our payment provider, which receives your payment details directly. Fábula never sees or stores your card number. From Polar we receive and store your plan, its renewal or end date, whether it's set to cancel, and a Polar customer identifier, so we can turn Premium on and off.

Usage and technical information

• Daily counts used to apply free limits (for example how many free images or watermark-free renders you used).
• Job logs that show the progress and errors of your projects (API keys are removed from logs).
• Technical data our hosting and log-in providers record when you use the service, such as IP address, browser type and the time of a request, used for security and to keep the service running.
• Feedback you choose to send us.
• Visit statistics for our public pages (the homepage, this policy and the Terms) from Cloudflare Web Analytics: which page was viewed, the site you came from, browser and device type, and an approximate country worked out from your IP address. It uses no cookies or browser storage, doesn't identify you or follow you across sites, and isn't used inside the app itself. We use it only to see how many people visit and where they come from.

2. How we use your information

• To provide Fábula: sign you in, store your projects, and create the scripts, voices, images and videos you request.
• To sell and manage Premium subscriptions: open checkouts, confirm payments with Polar, and handle cancellations and refunds.
• To send account emails: sign-up confirmation, sign-in links, password resets and important notices. We don't send marketing emails without asking.
• To apply fair-use limits, prevent abuse and keep the service secure.
• To fix problems and improve the app, including reading the feedback you send.
• To meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your projects to train AI models.

3. Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers to run Fábula. They process data on our behalf, or, when you choose a service that uses your own API key, on your behalf under that provider's own terms.

When the app page loads, your browser also fetches fonts from Google Fonts and icons from jsDelivr, which receive your IP address as part of a normal web request.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect people's safety or our rights, or as part of a sale or reorganisation of the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply.

4. Cookies and browser storage

Fábula uses only what it needs to work. There are no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies; the visit statistics on our public pages use no cookies or browser storage at all.

• Sign-in session: stored in your browser by Supabase so you stay signed in.
• Media cookie: a short-lived (one hour) secure cookie that lets your browser load your own images, audio, videos and downloads.
• Preferences: your theme, batch size and the last project you opened, kept in your browser only.

5. Where your data is stored

Our providers store and process data mainly in the United States, and may process it in other countries where they operate. By using Fábula you understand that your information may be processed outside your country.

6. How long we keep it

• Projects are kept until you delete them or your account.
• Deleting a project removes its files from our storage. Deleting your account removes your projects, files, saved API keys and feedback.
• After an account is deleted we keep a minimal record that the sign-in was deleted (so it can't be reused to reset free limits) and daily usage counts, which contain no project content.
• Backups: to protect against data loss we keep encrypted-at-rest backup copies of our database (account details, project text and settings, and your saved API keys, which stay encrypted; not your images, audio or videos) in private Cloudflare storage. Regular copies are kept for up to 35 days and one copy a month for up to 13 months, then deleted automatically. Data you delete stays in these copies until they expire; if we ever restore one, accounts that were deleted are deleted again before the service resumes.
• Polar keeps records of your purchases (for example invoices and payments) for as long as tax and accounting law requires, under its own privacy policy.
• Your log-in record at Supabase stays until you ask us to remove it. Providers may keep logs and backups for a limited time under their own policies.

7. Your choices and rights

• Access and download: open and download your projects at any time (each project can be downloaded as a ZIP).
• Correct: change your project content; contact us to change your email address.
• Delete: delete projects in the app, or your whole account in Settings → Account → Delete account (cancel any Premium subscription first). To also remove your log-in at our sign-in provider, email us.
• Ask: request a copy of your information or object to how we use it by emailing support@bevelui.com. We'll reply within 30 days.

Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law, and you may complain to your local data protection authority.

8. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypt saved API keys, verify every sign-in, and keep each account's projects separate from others. No online service is perfectly secure, so please keep your sign-in details safe and tell us about anything suspicious.

9. Children

Fábula is for people aged 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you believe a child has used Fábula, contact us and we'll delete the account.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Fábula changes. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date and, for important changes, let you know by email or in the app.
